On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1764.65 a troy ounce at time of writing rising 0.10%.
It earlier traded at a session high USD1767.75 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1757.95 and resistance at USD1787.55.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.21% to trade at USD79.91.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for December delivery rose 0.24% to trade at USD33.868 a troy ounce while Copper for December delivery fell 0.68% to trade at USD3.733 a pound.
